Our Client in Aircraft Industry are looking for a Sewing machine operator to join our team in Markham! This opportunity is only available to candidates who are eligible to work in Canada, no students please. Pay: 15-16$/hour + bonus Shifts: 7am to 6pm, Mon to Fri RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: l Deciding on appropriate sewing techniques before work commences l Meeting with consumers and inspecting patterns to determine each job's requirements. l Performing alterations to existing patterns or creating your own ones l Selecting suitable thread and placing this onto the spool spin. l Cutting, sewing, and gluing fabric according to the requirements of each article. l Affixing buttons, zippers, clasps, laces, and similar fittings. l Operating the foot pedal, plus the stitch length and width regulators, as you sew. l Replacing the sewing machine's needle, as required. l Detecting and repairing basic faults with the sewing machine as they occur. l Scheduling repairs for the sewing machine and its fittings, as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Having experience with single needle Can speak English High school diploma or completion of a sewing course is preferred. Demonstrable experience as a sewing machine operator. Ability to create, read, and follow patterns. Working knowledge of sewing machine mechanics. Outstanding eyesight or utilization of corrective measures. Innovative, thoughtful, and attentive to detail. Top-notch interpersonal skills. Ability to manage your time effectively.
